Role Summary:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support learning activities and help students with their work. You will assist individual students or small groups, including those who may need extra help, to improve their skills and confidence. Your role is important in creating a positive and welcoming classroom where all students feel safe and encouraged to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in planning and delivering the curriculum through well-prepared learning activities tailored to meet student needs.
* Provide effective, targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping students improve academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities by implementing personalised learning plans and adapting teaching methods.
* Promote positive behaviour by consistently applying school behaviour management policies.
* Uphold all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect the safety and welfare of students at all times.
Role Requirements:
* A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain attention to detail.
* Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant role within a primary school setting is preferred.
* Good understanding of the curriculum and teaching strategies.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
