Summary
Join our OHL Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Manager, responsible for successful project delivery including planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and handover/closeout on OHL Projects. Our projects are site-based across the UK, and we support flexible working. This is a full-time hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct periodic project reviews with site teams and clients.
2. Ensure reports provide relevant information for informed, cost-effective decisions aligned with business strategy.
3. Prepare and present internal and external reports; liaise with stakeholders.
4. Review designs critically and challenge inputs and deliverables.
5. Forecast project costs and resource requirements.
6. Prioritize Health, Safety & Environmental standards; stay updated on legislation.
7. Conduct safety and environmental audits.
8. Lead accident/incident investigations; monitor and improve H&S management system.
9. Review and accept subcontractor RAMS; develop and maintain H&S plans.
10. Coordinate project activities; manage resources to ensure timely delivery.
11. Develop high-performing teams through training, mentoring, and performance management.
12. Lead risk/opportunity reviews; manage the Risk Register; escalate unresolved issues.
13. Manage subcontractors, monitor progress, and provide support to meet contractual obligations.
14. Support tendering and new project acquisition efforts.
15. Ensure quality assurance activities are conducted and improvements implemented.
16. Monitor progress; facilitate weekly meetings; ensure milestones meet schedule and client expectations.
17. Balance operational and commercial constraints in decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 5 years managing projects.
* CSCS and SMSTS or equivalent certifications.
* Proven track record of project delivery.
* Deep understanding of standard contract forms.
* Planning and programming experience.
* Valid driving license.
* Experience managing DNO projects.
* IOSH / NEBOSH certifications.
