We have created a new division purely focused on the remediation works of legacy building projects, that ensures clear accountability as well as creating single reporting lines. There are likely to be 10-15 projects that require the 100% focus of this newly created region which will have a lifespan of circa 3-4 years.
To support our Special Projects division we are now are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the expanding team.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate cost management, dealing with contractual issues, procurement and payment of sub-contractors for complex large volume development projects from pre-operational stage through to final account settlement.
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor with previous exposure to remediation works of legacy building projects (Fire / recladding) either from a developer or main contractor background alternatively we will consider those with experience on RC Frame or high rise type projects.
You must have an excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at different stages of value engineering, cost control, budgeting and forecasting.
You'll be a numbers driven person, commercially aware and with strong problem solving skills. With a growing pipeline of talented Apprentices and Graduates in the team, you will lead by example and focus on building a strong team ethic and working relationships both with your team, the regional teams and external partners.
Your qualifications and memberships will be aligned to Surveyor level within the industry.
