GSL Education are seeking a Design Technology Teacher to work in Rotherham schools across S65 and S66, delivering skills‑focused lessons that build problem‑solving ability, technical confidence, and creative thinking. As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will plan and deliver well-structured sessions, guide learners through practical projects, and promote safe, effective use of tools and materials within the learning environment. Prime Responsibilities: Deliver inspiring lessons that combine theory with practical application. Support students in developing design, planning, and evaluation skills. Maintain a safe, organised, and purposeful workspace. Assess progress and provide constructive feedback. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum outcomes. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to perform confidently as a Design Technology Teacher. Effective classroom and workshop management skills. Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
