Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with the largest producer of renewable energy from food waste in England and Wales. The company own and operate a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit an Operative for their site in North London. The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to �33,500 overtime, callout payments, London weighting allowance and excellent benefits package. Responsibilities and duties of the Site Operator role Reporting to the Plant Manager you will: * Support with the day to day running of the anaerobic digestion plant * Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps * Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel * Take part in the on-call rota * Monitoring the pant via the SCADA * Keeping the site clean and tidy * Maintaining high levels of health & safety * Other duties as required Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: * Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training is essential * Engineering qualification/certificate is desired * Full UK Driving Licnece is essential Personal skills The Site Operator role would suit someone who is: * Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment * Mobile plant experience * First line maintenance experience * Agricultural experience is highly desired * Great work ethic Salary and benefits of the Site Operator role * Basic salary of between �32,500 to �33,500 * Overtime and callout payments * London Weighting allowance * Bonus * Pension * Holiday pay * Other benefits discussed at interview Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
