Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual with a project background to join a fast-paced team to deliver highways and technology schemes in the portfolio, or to assist and support more complex schemes. Projects range in value from £100k to £3m+ and include safety schemes, environmental improvements, technology schemes, remedial works and junction improvement schemes.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for a number of projects at different stages of the project lifecycle.
* Within each project: end-to-end management including scheme development and engagement with the asset team, designers, sub-consultants, construction team and contractors.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Planner, Construction Manager, Project QS, Asset and Designers).
* Management of the P6 programme with the planning team, including identification of critical path activities.
* Commercial management of the project (cost plan, supply chain quotations, review/approval of invoices, forecasting, review of applications with the commercial team).
* Commission and manage internal and external resources in terms of quality, budget and programme.
* Lead on Gateways and collaborative cost reviews with the Client and project team.
* Adhere to the project governance procedure, including leading presentations (virtual and in person) with prepared documentation to pass through project gateways.
* Routine reporting on project schedule/progress, risk and commercial status to the Client and internal teams.
* Engage in the Collaborative M25 Community, including Balance Scorecards, forums and workshops as required.
* Support the delivery of the business' Sustainability activities and objectives.

Working Arrangements
* Travel to CPS/supplier offices on the M25 network, three days a week.
* Periodic requirement for site visits.
* Full Driving Licence.
Qualifications / Skills
* Project Management Experience, preferably with a recognised qualification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2, APMP, etc.).
* Minimum degree qualification preferred and membership of an appropriate professional institution or working towards such qualification.
* Broad skills and knowledge of Highway or Structures Engineering and related design areas.
* Knowledge of CDM and other H&S and Environmental legislation related to Highway Engineering.
* Knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of contract.
