Due to upcoming project activity mainly CP6 & Gen 4, we are seeking a Section Engineer for a project based in the West of England. Ideal candidates will be based in Reading or Bristol areas.
The Section Engineer will allocate tasks to Site Engineers, supervise task completion, ensure Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed, and that works are delivered to specification.
They will oversee engineering requirements for a section of work or a subcontract package, aiming to meet the construction programme as agreed with the Sub Agent. This role could be suitable for an experienced Site Engineer looking to advance.
Duties:
1. Report to a Sub Agent and collaborate with the Section Foreman to assess plant and resource requirements.
2. Compile method statements and risk assessments, ensuring adherence throughout the works.
3. Ensure Site Engineers complete setting out in accordance with design.
4. Ensure Design Drawings are marked up to reflect completed works.
5. Identify, report, and manage any clashes on site for smooth workflow.
6. Review procedures regularly for efficiency.
Essential:
1. Previous experience as a Section Engineer in station buildings or general buildings is essential.
2. Strong background in Civil Engineering, specifically in Structures and Foundations.
3. Experience with Railway interfaces is a prerequisite.
