Murphy is recruiting for a People Shared Service Centre Team Leader to work within the People Shared Service team at Leeds - LS9 0NY. What you’ll do
* Manage a team of administrators that support the employee lifecycle from onboarding, RTW checks, through to contract changes and leavers, using and administering the People management system (Success Factors) as required.
* Handle a volume of telephone and e-mail enquiries, and in-person queries via the Shared Service Centre Mailbox, ensuring SLAs are adhered to and reported on.
* Act as a first point of contact for complex queries on policy and processes.
* Liaise with employees and line managers in a timely manner, addressing day-to-day enquiries and solving problems where possible.
* Maintain a professional level of service to the Group at all times.
* Take day-to-day responsibility for administration tasks across the full employee lifecycle of all people functions.
* Ensure accurate and timely data entry onto People systems, maintaining ongoing data integrity and accurate system-based records.
* Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times (Data Protection) – including emails, letters and filing.
* Ensure that all requests are correctly approved and processed within agreed timescales (e.g., contract changes, car authorisations, new starter information).
* Support the evaluation of people activities and the overall administration in line with processing schedules.
* Support the reconciliation of payroll adjustments for both weekly paid and salaried staff.
* Assist with the collation of reporting and statistical information for reports as required.
* Collaborate with other functional areas to facilitate best-practice solutions that can be implemented across the function.
What we’re looking for
* Previous knowledge of working within a shared services centre environment.
* Proven track record of providing human capital supervisory support to a large, multi-site, multi-disciplined business.
* Proficient in EC (Success Factors), preferably EC to ECP plus ECSC (ticketing system).
* Ideally experience within the construction/civil-engineering sector.
* Experience of running HR processes (statutory payments / maternity / payroll, etc.).
* Experience of working within a HR/confidential environment.
* Willing to progress in CIPD / Part qualified.
* Demonstrates alignment with the company’s Investors in People accreditation and best practices.
* Proficient in IT with good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
