West Barns Primary School is looking for dedicated and creative p2/3 class teacher to join our friendly and welcoming school team..
West Barns is a semi-rural primary school in East Lothian with 5 composite classes in the primary school and a 40-place term time nursery. Our learners, school team and families benefit from a large playground with ample opportunities for outdoor learning, a supportive parent council, and a new-build nursery. We have a committed staff team and are looking for someone who will be a key part of building on our success.
It is anticipated interviews for the post will take place on Wednesday 24 June.
Job Details
To undertake class-teaching duties
Teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.
Develop the school curriculum.
Assess, record and report on the work of pupils.
Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration.
Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils.
Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
Undertake appropriate and agreed Career Long Professional Development (CLPL).
Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.
Contribute towards good order and the wider needs of the school.
