Motorcycle Technician

We are seeking a Motorcycle Preparation Technician to manage the end-to-end preparation of all retail stock. This is a professional role requiring a balance of mechanical competence and a disciplined approach to vehicle presentation. You will be responsible for ensuring every bike is technically sound, safety-checked, and valeted to a showroom standard before it is presented to our customers.
Core Responsibilities:
* Mechanical Inspection & PDI: Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on all incoming premium stock.
* General Servicing: Perform routine maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fluid replacements, chain adjustments, and battery health checks.
* Road Testing: Carry out functional test rides to ensure engine performance, braking systems, and handling meet our strict safety and quality criteria.
* Professional Valeting: Execute high-level valeting for the showroom and final customer handovers. This includes deep cleaning, technical degreasing, and polishing to a professional finish.
* Accessory Integration: Assist in the professional fitting of bolt-on accessories and components as required by sales orders.
* Quality Control: Act as the final point of approval, ensuring the motorcycle is 100% prepared both mechanically and aesthetically.
Requirements:
* Technical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in motorcycle maintenance, servicing, or a professional workshop environment.
* Full Motorcycle Licence: Required for road testing and moving machinery.
* Premium Standards: A meticulous approach to work. You must understand the expectations of a premium customer base.
* Product Knowledge: Comfortable working with a wide range of modern, high-capacity motorcycles and manufacturers.
* Efficiency & Pride: The ability to work independently to a high standard, taking ownership of the bike's journey from the workshop to the showroom floor.

Starting salary is competitive and will be formally agreed upon based on the successful candidate's technical qualifications, overall industry experience, and specific mechanical expertise.
