Job Description:

Here at Optum, we are looking for a Clinical Software Trainer to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This position is a field-based role and requires travel across Northern Ireland to deliver on-site training. You will therefore be based in Northern Ireland and hold a full, clean driving license.

Working with our customers, we are leading the way in the delivery of patient-centred, connected, digitally enabled health and care services. Our customers and partners are using our solutions in all health and care settings, from GP surgeries and community care to high street pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, not-for-profit organisations, and specialist services. We are committed to developing the next generation of healthcare technology that will truly make a difference

What you’ll do

We’re looking for individuals who have an aptitude for delivering training, whether that be from a previous training position or a passion for coaching and mentoring. You will be joining a collaborative team of Clinical Software Trainers who are responsible for delivering training sessions to GP Practices that are migrating to our Optum system, named EMIS Web. In this position, you will receive a supportive onboarding journey that will enable you to deliver high-quality training on-site and remotely.

Throughout the migration cycle, you will be responsible for delivering training sessions in varied settings and styles to a variety of audiences, this could be one-to-one, small group sessions, seminar-style events, and train-the-trainer on-site or remotely.

We give you all the training you need, so this role is ideal for an individual who either has previous training experience or an aptitude for coaching or mentoring.

Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

* Delivery of Transformation services to established customers, identify and implement high complexity solutions.
* Collection and analysis of customer and/or user requirements and processes, matching these needs to Optum products and services, ensuring the optimal and effective solutions to find better ways of working are implemented.
* Advise and provide support to our customers, as a system specialist, with regard to all aspects of the configuration of Optum products.
* Detailing customer activity reports within the agreed timeframe of a customer delivery day, encouraging feedback to continue development and improvement.

Who You’ll Be

At Optum we will provide you with the training on our systems and delivery sessions. We’re looking for you to have a genuine passion for excellent customer service. We don’t need you to have previous experience in clinical software training, we can teach you this, however, we’re looking for individuals who have experience in coaching, mentoring, or training.

Collaboration is key, not only will you work closely with our customers to understand their training needs during the migration process but also with internal departments and the wider team to troubleshoot any queries. With the ability to learn quickly, you will have good IT literacy and confidence in speaking to a variety of audiences.

We want to make sure you’re set for success, so the key skills and experience we’re looking for are below:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen carefully, empathise and provide clear and consistent education.
* Previous experience of providing excellent customer service or customer delivery.
* Ability to contribute to the creation of dynamic training materials that support knowledge transfer.
* Flexibility to travel throughout Northern Ireland and potentially the UK to deliver training and service on-site with customers.
