Come and join the cardfactory team as our new Store Planning Assistant! With a keen eye for detail, you will be passionate about bringing physical spaces to life with precision and creativity. Using Adobe Illustrator to draught detailed and accurate store layout drawings to the correct standard and specifications. This role is available on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
In this role, you will collaborate with external architects, surveyors, and internal stakeholders to understand design requirements and produce precise, to-scale drawings that comply with industry regulations and health and safety standards. You will prepare working drawings for all project phases, including construction and installation, and create drawings for tenders, legal contracts, planning permissions, and building regulation applications.
This is a hybrid role with some days working from home and some at our head office in Wakefield, with excellent links to the M1 and M62, and free parking. You will be required in the office approximately 3 days a week, with Tuesday as our team anchor day.

Role Responsibilities
* Ensure layouts and drawings are prepared in a timely manner, aligned with store activity and demands.
* Work with the Retail and Commercial departments to produce detailed site-specific merchandising layouts.
* Prepare internal feasibility layouts considering building configurations.
* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet needs or develop alternatives for project sign-off.
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience with CAD or Adobe Illustrator.
* Proficient in various software including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
* Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and survey reports.
* High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexible decision-making skills to accommodate short-notice changes to drawings.
* Problem-solving, creativity, and innovation to resolve design issues.
* Effective team player with good communication skills.
