Job Purpose To provide a high standard of care and support to clients in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing. Care duties are guided by individual care plans and may vary depending on each client’s needs and the time of the visit. Key Responsibilities Personal Care & Support * Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner, similar to the care a family member would offer * Assist with washing, bathing, dressing, toileting, and getting in and out of bed * Support clients with mobility issues, physical disabilities, and continence care * Provide support to clients who are unwell, including those receiving end-of-life care Daily Living & Wellbeing * Promote mental and physical wellbeing through companionship, conversation, and activities * Prepare meals and support with eating and drinking * Undertake light household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, bed changing, and tidying * Support clients with maintaining a safe, clean home environment Record Keeping & Communication * Accurately complete care notes and records * Report any changes in a client’s health or circumstances to the office * Escalate concerns, risks, or incidents promptly * Greet visitors and manage basic household communications when required Compliance & Professional Standards * Maintain high standards of hygiene and use PPE correctly * Follow company policies, procedures, and care guidelines at all times * Attend training, meetings, and complete e-learning as required * Promote the organisation positively within the local community * Attend the office at least once per week to collect rotas and paperwork Requirements Requirements Essential * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle * Experience providing personal care * Experience working in domiciliary care supporting vulnerable adults * Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS and Adult First clearance * Good written and verbal communication skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Flexible and reliable approach to work Additional Information * This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. * Business use insurance will be required for drivers Safeguarding & Compliance All staff are required to work in line with safeguarding legislation and company policies to protect vulnerable adults and children. Enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references, and ongoing safeguarding training are mandatory for this role.
