About The Role
We are currently seeking a Business Engagement Support Executive to join our Business Development department at The Bedford College Group. As a Business Engagement Support Executive, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* Employer Engagement & Outreach – Proactively identify and connect with employers to promote T-Level placements, using outreach strategies like cold calling, meetings, and tailored proposals to build long-term partnerships.
* Placement Coordination & Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams to match students with suitable employers, ensuring high-quality, meaningful placements that support student development and meet employer needs.
* Relationship Building & Communication – Maintain strong rapport with employer contacts, overcome objections, and represent the College professionally in all external communications and promotional activities.
* Monitoring & Reporting – Track engagement activity and placement outcomes using CRM systems, provide regular updates to management, and contribute to continuous improvement through feedback and insights.
* College-Wide Contribution & Compliance – Support events, invigilation, and open days, while upholding safeguarding, EDI, health & safety, and Bedfordshire College Group values in all aspects of the role.
About You
* Qualifications & Professional Development – Level 2 or above in sales, customer service, or marketing (or willingness to study), GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4+), and evidence of continued professional development.
* Sales & Customer Engagement Expertise – Proven experience in cold calling, campaign planning, CRM usage, and exceeding customer expectations, with strong knowledge of the sales process and local business landscape.
* Skills & Competencies – Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyse data, manage workloads, meet targets, and build effective relationships across diverse teams.
* Values & Professionalism – Demonstrates alignment with Bedford College Group values including inclusivity, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with a commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
* Flexibility & Mobility – Willingness to travel across sites, adapt working hours, and maintain appropriate boundaries with young people, supported by a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
