Key Responsibilities
* Working in the Depot under instructions from the Depot Foreman/Leadinghand to ensure equipment is ready for hire
* Liaise with your line manager, to agree and understand our customers' requirements and ensure that the highest level of service is maintained
* Drive counterbalance or multi-directional forklift trucks to load/unload vehicles and move, prepare and store equipment (full in-house training will be provided)
* Pick/return/scan equipment accurately and identify stock overages/shortages
* Load and unload equipment correctly and safely
* Use pressure washer to clean equipment
* Inspect, service and repair specified hire equipment and depot assets
* Use of pneumatic/electrical hand tools (full in-house training will be provided)
* Keep up to date and accurate service/inspection records at all times
* Identify and record damage of out of service equipment
* Ensure stock levels are accurately maintained and quality of equipment is kept in line with company standards
* Have a positive attitude towards Health, Safety and the Environment, reporting any issues to your supervisor
* Ensure the depot is maintained to a high standard, keeping it clean and tidy
* Occasionally drive the depot van as deemed necessary
What We're Looking For
* Ability to complete records and paperwork accurately is essential
* Capability to use scanners, PDA's, tablets and computers
* A reasonable level of fitness is required
* To be flexible, trustworthy and reliable and have excellent time keeping skills is essential
* Valid full clean driving licence and access to own mode of transport
* Customer service experience advantageous
* Knowledge of shoring commercial operations advantageous
* Working knowledge of construction/housing/civil engineering industry advantageous
* Knowledge of shoring and/or the hire industry advantageous
