Tier 2 enabler working with adults with disabilities

Offer description

In addition to the duties of an Enabler (see below):

1. To offer support and guidance to Tier One Enablers working with service users to carry out their development plan by using facilities at the Centre and in the community.

2. To act as Keyworker for up to twenty five individuals and to review, at least annually with users and other professionals, the development plan.

3. To overview the work of agency workers and P.A's offering them support and guidance as required to ensure users have a safe and stimulating experience. Support and guidance will be available to you from Operations Managers and Deputy Operations Managers.

4. To record service users' progress towards achieving their goals and where appropriate in adapting programmes.

5. To assess and record service users moving & handling needs.

6. With Deputy and Operations Managers to plan for five stimulating internal and external activities per week and to monitor the effectiveness of these activities. Risk assessing including existing and new venues.

7. To take an active part in staff meetings.

8. To supervise and appraise up to five tier one Enablers.

9. To produce written reports to Senior Enablers, senior management and for staff meetings.

10. Operations Managers will allocate five hours each week for the Tier two work to take place. At times of peak staff absence you will revert to your Enabler only role.

Other tasks within the remit of the job may be required from time to time

ENABLER MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1 To help service users to identify their needs, skills and aspirations

2 To help service users to carry out their development plan by using facilities at the Centre and in the community (driving vehicles, with D1 licence will be required )

1. To attend to users' personal needs, giving physical and emotional support, assist their mobility (including lifting and handling, using appropriate aids, whilst respecting the rights, dignity and privacy of the individual).

2. To contribute to the provision of a varied and interesting programme of activities within the Centre.

3. To take an active part in staff meetings, supervision sessions, training sessions and appraisal
