Join Releasing Potential: Make a Real Difference in Children's Lives
Do you believe education should unlock doors, not close them?
Are you a Learning Support Assistant, Tutor, Support Worker or just passionate about education and ready to make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most?
If so, Releasing Potential wants to hear from you.
Why Releasing Potential?
At Releasing Potential, we don't just teach - we transform lives.
Our students have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and face challenges linked to social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH). Some days are tough. But every day brings an opportunity to celebrate small wins that mean the world.
We work in small groups or 1:1 settings, tailoring every lesson to each child. Here, learning is hands-on, meaningful and full of heart.
The Tutor Role
As a Tutor, you'll:
* Deliver a flexible, engaging curriculum that inspires curiosity.
* Support children in small groups or 1:1, outside traditional classrooms.
* Build strong, trusting relationships- showing students that you care before you teach.
* Personalise lessons to meet individual needs, making education relevant and accessible.
* Use Glasser's Choice Theory to help students balance survival, love & belonging, power, freedom, and fun.
What You'll Need
* A valid UK driving licence (essential).
* An understanding of SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and communication differences.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience to handle challenges calmly.
* Creativity and curiosity -you'll need both every day.
* Experience in SEN is welcome, but not essential- we value passion as much as experience.
What We Offer
* Full-time salary starting at £25,710 (not pro-rata - real stability all year).
* 34 days holiday plus bank holidays.
* A generous pension scheme with substantial contributions.
* 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme to support your wellbeing.
