Role:
11. Hours: 20hrs per week

13. Location: Wixams Retirement Village, Bedford Road, Bedford, MK42 6EA
What will you do as our Wellbeing Advisor (Registered Nurse)?
14. Assess all new residents that move into the village
15. Create and support a programme of health and wellbeing promotion
16. Provide drop in sessions and deliver wellbeing checks
17. Work closely with resident volunteers and team members, to promote opportunities to actively improve their health and well being
Our ideal Wellbeing Advisor (Registered Nurse):
Qualifications and Training
18. Registered Nurse Adults
19. Evidence of professional development in community health or primary care post registration qualification
20. Specialist training to master’s degree or equivalent level (desirable) – Community, District or Practice
Nursing
21. Teaching/ Mentorship qualification
22. Current NMC qualification
Experience and Knowledge
23. Significant experience in managing older people
24. Experience or knowledge of primary care and referral to primary care
25. Experience of frailty identification and managing long term conditions
26. Evidence of continuous professional development
27. Evidence of participation in audit
Skills and Abilities
28. Excellent written and oral communication skills
29. Good interpersonal skills and can demonstrate ability to work with others
30. Ability to analyse risk and respond appropriately, seeking support as necessary
31. Ability to recognise own limits and seek support re supervision as necessary
32. Competent in computer skills
33. Ability to maintain and manage own caseload, working autonomously within the specialist area
34. Ability to provide, receive and process highly sensitive and sometimes contentious information
35. Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and can demonstrate awareness of MDT functioning
