Reed Education are proud to be working with a forward-thinking specialist school in Middlewich, Cheshire, who are seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
This is a truly unique opportunity to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional SEND such as Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and the impact of trauma and adverse experiences. The school provides a therapeutic, nurturing environment and uses an innovative approach rooted in Integrity, Courage and Care.

About the Role
No two days are the same in this HLTA role. You will work with pupils from Years 3 to 12, supporting those who require consistent, compassionate and flexible adults around them. You'll be someone who can bring calm, resilience and creativity to your work, and who understands the importance of trauma-informed practice.
As an HLTA, you may find yourself:
* Supporting teachers in the classroom
* Delivering small group or 1:1 sessions
* Managing classroom resources
* Taking children on trips and visits
* Sharing lunch with children who struggle socially
* Managing heightened behaviours and keeping children safe
* Getting hands‑on with practical learning for example science experiments, games, creative activities
* Making engaging classroom displays
* Supporting therapy‑led sessions
* Celebrating every success, no matter how small
