Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
1. Actuarial Associates are expected to move between functions to develop competence in the different Actuarial activities carried out within the Company. The 4 principal activities are Actuarial Risk & Capital, Actuarial Reporting, Actuarial Systems and Pricing
2. To have a good level of knowledge and understanding and be able to play a lead role in at least one of the Actuarial activities.
3. To actively develop knowledge and understanding in the remaining Actuarial activities.
4. To carry out Actuarial investigations & analyses and lead project teams as required.
Qualifications required:
5. Student actuary with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience of actuarial work and 6 actuarial examination passes.
6. Preferably possess a relevant degree with grade 2:1 or above.
Experience required:
7. Detailed understanding of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
8. Excel software, R, VBA, PowerBI, Actuarial specific software & Python desirable.
9. Highly numerate with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and figures.
