Job Title: General Manager
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Overall purpose of the role
To take control of the entire site and uphold the standards of service at The Rose & Crown through
effective management of staff, recruitment of new staff and customer interactions.
Main duties and responsibilities
As the General Manager you will be responsible for the whole site.
Your duty is to uphold the
standards of service we provide customers by:
* Maintaining an effective staff level through active recruitment
* Management of the team to ensure order of service is upheld
* Maintenance of the building and equipment to ensure both functional, presentable and
hygienic – ensuring both the weekly tasks are completed and the monthly maintenance is
complete.
* Presentable and professional team
* Presentable and clean building – both customer facing and back of house areas
* Reporting performance and success of the site to operations manager
Qualifications & Experience
* License to sell alcohol
* Food hygiene level 2 or above

* Able to effectively manage a large team
* Understanding of Health and Safety Procedures
* Able to make considered decisions and communicate to
relevant colleagues

* Maintained or improved weekly revenues
* Maintained or improved staff costs/revenues (less than 28%)
* Maintained or improved public reviews
* Maintained or improved GP (%)
* Success scores on mystery diners reports

Hours
* 5 days a week
* Responsibility for the rota falls with yourself
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
