Join Our Team as Deputy Head Housekeeper at The Fish Hotel
We're looking for a Deputy Head Housekeeper for The Fish Hotel. Perched high on the beautiful Farncombe Estate, The Fish Hotel is a laid-back luxury retreat that’s full of Cotswold charm — with woodland lodges, treehouses, cabins, and contemporary hotel rooms spread across 500 acres of rolling countryside. Guests come for the views, the food, and the feeling of calm, and it’s our housekeeping team who help make every stay special.
The Role:
As Deputy Head Housekeeper, you’ll assist in managing the entire housekeeping operation, ensuring all public areas and guest rooms meet our exceptional standards. You’ll work closely with our team to exceed guest expectations, motivate the housekeeping staff, and ensure smooth and efficient operations day-to-day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the scheduling of staff rotas and assist in controlling supply costs.
* Supervise and coach the housekeeping team, ensuring all training and competency records are up to date.
* Lead daily handovers and ensure that all necessary information is communicated clearly to the team.
* Ensure that all facilities and equipment are maintained to required standards.
* Ensure a warm and professional relationship with all service partners and other departments.
* Oversee the health and safety training and ensure all standards are followed.
* Handle any guest-related issues and requests, ensuring an exceptional experience.
* Assist with budget management and other paperwork, including safety audits.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a Deputy Head Housekeeper who is:
* Experienced in working in luxury high-end accommodation.
* A natural leader who enjoys coaching and developing a team.
* Strongly committed to health and safety standards.
* Organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Passionate about delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
* A true team player, ready to step up in the absence of the Head Housekeeper.
The Details:
* £32,760 per annum plus gratuities (estimated to be £2000-2500 per annum)
* Meals on duty and uniform provided.
* 40-hour per week contract, working 5 days a week including weekends
