About the role:
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Material Planner to join the team at the JCB World Parts Centre, a critical operation supporting JCB customers across the globe.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the effective planning, availability, and flow of parts into the World Parts Centre, working closely with internal logistics teams and an international supplier base. You’ll play a key part in maintaining service levels, optimising inventory, and supporting a fast‑moving global distribution environment.
What does this role involve day to day?
1. Managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) from an international supply base to support the World Parts Centre distribution requirements
2. Ensuring continuity of supply for parts to meet customer demand and stock availability targets
3. Monitoring supplier performance against delivery schedules and addressing any deviations
4. Managing inventory through maintaining MRP parameters, reviewing stock levels against budget, and ensuring transactional accuracy
5. Carrying out proactive reviews to drive continuous improvement across suppliers, logistics, transportation, and packaging
6. Maintaining performance standards in line with established KPIs, including service level, inventory value, and availability
7. Leading or supporting problem‑solving activities and process improvement initiatives within the supply chain
8. Working closely with internal stakeholders across planning, logistics, procurement, and operations
This will be suited to you if…
9. You have demonstrable experience in materials or supply planning, ideally within a logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment
10. You have strong working knowledge of SAP or similar planning systems
11. You’re an excellent communicator and confident working with suppliers and internal teams
12. You’re highly PC‑literate and comfortable analysing and working with complex data
13. You’re organised, detail‑driven, and able to manage competing priorities
14. You work well to tight deadlines and enjoy solving complex supply chain challenges
15. You’re motivated by achieving results and driving continuous improvement
