Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Class Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational SEND Schools in Newcastle on a full-time and long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role:
1. The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils with a wide range of SEND and allows all pupils to make progress.
2. Working with Primary and Secondary aged pupils with a wide range of SEND and challenging behaviour
3. Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
4. Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner
5. Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
6. Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress
7. Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
8. Working effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience

9. The role is based in an inspirational SEND School in Newcastle.
10. There is an opportunity for the role to be based across any age group from EYFS to Sixth Form depending on the experience, specialism and preference of the successful Candidate.
11. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
12. Pay – Between £130-180 per day
13. Hours –
14. Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025. Temporary Contract.
15. Start Date – ASAP.
16. Location – Newcastle
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
17. An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
18. QTS and Teaching experience in either Primary or Secondary School settings within the UK.
19. Experience of short, medium and long-term planning
20. Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
21. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
22. Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
23. A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
24. Experience of Teaching within the UK
25. A genuine passion for Teaching
26. Strong organisation and communication skills
