El Pastor is a small group of Mexican taquerias in London, inspired by the decade the founders spent in Mexico City, running a cult nightclub and searching for the citys best taco al pastor.
We pour our hearts into top quality authentic produce, making fresh tortillas daily using heritage corn and working directly with suppliers and cooperative farmers in Mexico. We are proud to have been awarded a Star by the Sustainable Restaurant Association.

The Sous Chef Role
* At least 2 years experience working in a high-volume restaurant in London
* Passionate or interested in quality Heritage Mexican Cuisine
* Run and lead positively a large team of Chefs
* Provide supportive guidance and training
* Coordinate line cooking, food preparation and plating
* Contribute to menu development and commitment to team training and development
* Manage all sections and pass confidently
* Monitor food stocks and optimise orders to achieve food margins
* Exceeding guests expectations at all time
* Be the face of the brand known for its warm welcome and guest care
* Good understanding of ordering & wastage, stock management, Chef rotas, costings and GP
* Understanding of flavours balance, a passion for food and your own development is a must
* Excellent knowledge of our menus, ingredients, allergens and adherence to all Food Safety and hygiene standards
* Strong command of English language
* Strong team ethic showing respect for your colleagues
* A passion for hospitality and your own development is a must
