Job Overview
We are seeking a Head of therapy and clinical services to join our team at Hand in Hand Childcare. The ideal candidate will be driven by a passion for developing trauma informed approaches and practices tailored to individual children to support their recovery from developmental trauma and adverse experiences.
As the as head of therapy and clinical services you will be responsible for overseeing our therapeutic practices within our homes, ensuring each child gets individualised clinical and therapeutic interventions to support them to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will collaborate with registered managers and their staff teams to develop and improve their knowledge and approaches around trauma informed practice.
Duties
* Lead and manage a culture of trauma informed practice and support with embedding this culture across our teams.
* Conduct or commission clinical assessments and develop individualised care plans based on clinical needs.
* Support the team to be able to understand and implement these plans through discussions and training.
* Monitor and evaluate children's progress, adjusting care plans and outcomes as necessary.
* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, children's home regulations and organisational policies.
* Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate therapeutic interventions
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with best practices.
* Support teams to develop their knowledge and understanding the impact of developmental trauma
Qualifications
* HCPC registered, this could be as an OT, SALT, Psychologist or play therapist etc with a passion for supporting children's outcomes.
* Proven experience, preferably in a leadership role but this is not essential.
* Strong knowledge of the impact of ACES and developmental trauma and associated factors.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

Pay: £30,501.35-£45,445.63 per year
