We’re looking for a Health & Safety Officer who’s ready to make a real impact. Someone who’s confident working with all levels of the business, from the shop floor to senior management, and who can turn legislation and policy into practical, positive change.
What you’ll be doing:

Developing and reviewing health and safety policies and procedures.
*
Making sure the company stays compliant with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other key legislation.
*
Carrying out risk assessments and recommending control measures.
*
Leading regular site inspections and safety audits.
*
Investigating incidents, near misses, and accidents, and helping prevent them from happening again.
*
Delivering engaging safety training to staff and managers.
*
Advising on specialist areas such as fire safety, noise, and occupational health.
*
Keeping accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training through the H&S Management System.
*
Reporting on performance and encouraging everyone to take ownership of safety.
What we’re looking for:
*
A NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
*
Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
*
Great communication skills and the ability to influence others.
*
Confidence to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Bonus points if you have:
*
Experience delivering training.
*
Worked in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar operational environment.
