Be your best in Adult Social Care. About the role We are delighted to announce new opportunities for Occupational Therapists within our team. Using your understanding of the aspirations of the people who use our services and their carers, your focus will be on completing assessments to make clinical recommendations that enable citizens to maximise their quality of life. Arranging the appropriate service provision, your role will include working with other agencies to reduce barriers to social inclusion and achieve solutions that meet individual citizens’ needs. You will explore provision of manual handling equipment, simple and specialist equipment, minor adaptations, teaching new techniques, and the provision of major adaptation. Collaborating with citizens, carers and colleagues, you can play an active role in helping to further develop our services. You will work as part of a fast-paced, vibrant and dynamic team as well as autonomously, frequently using your initiative. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with excellent communication and organisational skills. You may have opportunities to develop skills in a range of specialisms for example in provision of house adaptations, Disabled Facilities Grant assessments, specialist equipment and enablement programmes, Forensic service, Community Clinics, Single Handed Care for citizens aged 18 and supporting with Transitions cases. In addition to this the team undertake partnership working with discretionary Blue Badge Services, Housing, Early Intervention and NHS. There are a variety of CPD activities available to support your development and a two year Learning and Development Programme is available to support your development.
