A fantastic opportunity has arisen where we are looking for a motivated and detail-orientated Finance Administrator to join our small established finance team. The successful candidate will support and help manage the finances of the organisation to ensure the smooth operation of financial activities. Logical Holdings operates from our state-of-the-art Headquarters based in the Newcastle and is the parent company of two exceptional technology firms. Working in a supportive role reporting to the Group Financial Accountant, the Financial Administrator will play a crucial part to help monitor spending alongside overseeing accounting and processing tasks relating to expenditure as well as reviewing bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Other responsibilities will include maintenance of the financial records, performing financial controls, ensuring financial data accuracy and entry of all transactions on the accounting software. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a finance or accounting role. The role is based in Newcastle City centre (NE4) and is a full time Hybrid Fixed term contract. The team operate 2 days in office (currently Monday & Tuesday) with rest of the week working from home based on a 40 hour work week. We are looking for the candidate to have working knowledge of the following:- Management of financial records Financial reporting Improving efficiency in processes Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports Accurately recording all financial transactions on computer systems Preparing balance sheets Processing invoices Reconciling bank statements Recording accounts payable Dealing with expenses and VAT Assisting with the implementation of financial policies Responding to financial inquires and providing assistance to internal stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software Prior experience in a similar role within the financial sector is preferred Desirable:- Prior use of Sage Prior knowledge of Jira & Kimble Awareness of larger ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamix Automation of manual processes An interest in Power BI Relevant Degree or Financial certification such as ACCA Reconciling & processing of credit card statements Participation in financial audits Soft skills:- Attention to detail with excellent numerical skills Time management - working to deadlines Following internal processes and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently as well as part of team Logical Holdings is an equal opportunities employer.
