Description We are looking for a talented Process & Quality Engineering Technician, specialising in Manufacturing, for Accelera by Cummins, based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. This is a full-time, on-site role on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Overtime may be available depending on workload. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Support Design Handoff: Ensure new battery pack designs are manufacturable and testable by providing hands-on feedback during design reviews. Document Processes: Create and maintain build manuals, PFMEAs, control plans, and other critical documentation to support prototype builds. Prepare Tooling & Equipment: Set up and maintain jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and machine programs to enable smooth prototype assembly. Execute Prototype Builds: Provide real-time support during builds, including DOE trials and pre-assembly validations, resolving issues as they arise. Integrate COBOTs: Collaborate with engineering teams to program, test, and troubleshoot collaborative robots for seamless workflow integration. Drive Quality Resolution: Work closely with the quality function to resolve non-conformance reports, deviations, and inspection findings. Enable Process Improvements: Apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in prototype environments. Facilitate Engineering Feedback: Communicate tooling and fixture issues to engineering and toolmakers, ensuring continuous improvement and design refinement. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred. Significant hands-on experience in manufacturing or R&D environments, with familiarity in quality systems, CAD, prototype builds, and continuous improvement practices.
