Summary of Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic & experienced engineers to join our existing Energy team to perform all aspects software design, development and implementation for Operational Technology systems. The role will require the successful candidate to provide subject matter expertise in the areas of Windows, Virtualisation and Networking for both ongoing projects and for sales opportunities. The role will involve designing architectures; estimating configuration time; performing system configuration builds; specifying server hardware; designing and configuring network infrastructure; and equipment; and liaising with the Capula internal cyber team to ensure the system is secure by design. The candidate should have proven experience of delivering such systems in an OT environment.
Essential Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years experience of the following, preferable in an Operational Technology Environment: Virtualisation utilising VMWare and/or HyperV Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Domain Configuration/Group Policy Management Experience of Network Switch and Firewall Configuration
2. Experience of delivering cyber secure systems to industry and client standards including standards IEC 62443
3. Experience of producing Function Design Specifications, System/Detailed Design Specifications and Test Specifications
4. Experience of performing Internal and Customer Factory Acceptance Tests
5. Experience of technically leading a small project or part of a large project
6. Experience reviewing the work of others
7. Knowledge of project lifecycle working to QA procedures
8. Willingness to travel and work away when required
9. Full UK Driving licence

27. Experience of communication protocols including:-

29. Knowledge of network architectures including RSTP, PRP and HSR
30. Experience of Software Defined Network solutions including Flow Controllers
31. Experience of simulation software e.g. SIMIT/ PICS/WinMOD
32. Experience of renewable power generation control systems
33. Experience of site work/commissioning automation control systems
34. Experience of Legacy PLCs/software e.gRockwell RSLogix5, 500 or 5000, Schneider Unity Pro/Concept, Siemens Step 7.
35. Experience of delivering safety systems to IEC 61508/61511
