Estimator (Electrical)
Location: Skelmersdale, Lancashire (this role is a mixture of office and field based)
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum

About The Company:
Our client is a forward-thinking, electrical engineering company with a strong focus on delivering high-quality engineering and technical solutions. Their team prides itself on professionalism, innovation, and a commitment to operational excellence. They are now looking for an Estimator with electrical knowledge to support their Electrical Division by managing all aspect of sales, estimating and quoting.
Role Overview:
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in reviewing electrical drawings, specifications and customer requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates. The role will also bring a key focus on estimating material labour, equipment, subcontractor costs and lead times for control panels and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver detailed project proposals, quotes and bid packages.
Coordinate with engineering and production teams to verify build strategies and ensure estimate accuracy.
Worked directly with customers, integrators and OEMs (original manufacturer equipment) to understand project needs and provide technical solutions.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Support customers with product knowledge, technical guidance and pricing information.
Assist with contract negotiations and the closing of sales.
Provide input on design improvements, equipment selections and cost-effective solutions.
Collaborate with engineers to refine panel designs and clarify technical requirements.
Maintain estimate records, pricing databases and project documentation.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience within electrical engineering, exposure to electrical sales, controls and automation.
3-5 years of experience within estimating software, CAD tools and all Microsoft applications.
A knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC systems, RDM, construction projects and building services.
