Job Overview
As a Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate with critical business areas, supporting and advising on strategic and operational decision-making by providing proactive, value-adding insights to enhance business performance.
You will conduct in-depth complex financial analyses, including financial modeling, scenario planning, and cost visibility, while driving budgetary accountability and ownership. You will report on key performance indicators to maximize cost efficiency and identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Effective communication skills are essential, as you will engage with individuals across the organization. Building strong stakeholder relationships and confidently providing business insights to add value are key aspects of this role. You should be a self-starter capable of working independently within a broader team.
Your Core Duties
* Serve as the finance lead for your designated business areas, acting as the primary contact for financial reporting and support.
* Manage the budget and in-year forecast processes for opex and capex, offering guidance on planning assumptions, efficiencies, risks, and opportunities to achieve cost efficiencies through constructive challenge.
* Enhance financial and KPI reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the directorate.
* Provide financial insights and governance across multiple projects and work programs, assessing status and recommending actions to meet project objectives efficiently.
* Build close relationships with corporate teams to ensure appropriate financial structures and governance are established and strictly followed.
* Improve forecasting techniques to increase financial accuracy and ensure compliance with government, regulatory, and customer requirements.
About You
* Ideally a qualified accountant or qualified by experience, with experience in a commercial business partnering role within a fast-paced organization.
* Strong finance skills, including commercial finance, FP&A, accounting, governance, and controls.
* Excellent communicator, comfortable providing proactive financial leadership to non-finance professionals.
* Adept at managing multiple responsibilities independently while delivering accurate results under tight deadlines.
* Strong business acumen, demonstrating commercial and operational understanding, along with relationship-building, influencing, and judgment skills.
* Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and adapting to changing environments.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of MS Power BI or willingness to learn.
