Established in Nether Johnstone House is a semi-rural community-based house designed to support young people with a range of complex needs. Offering care, support and opportunities for children and young people aged 8-21 years, who are looked after away from their families.

Key skills & experience:
· We are looking for someone who has experience of carrying out cleaning and domestic duties in a workplace. Experience within Health or Social Care setting’s would be beneficial.
· Good communication and attention to details.
· Understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities, legislation (including infection control & COSHH
· Recording and reporting of tasks
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a team of people who are passionate about providing opportunities to others. Ensuring that children and young people have a safe, homely environment is central to the care we offer. Therefore, we are looking for a housekeeper who will lead by example to support everyone within NJH to feel at home.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning & Maintenance: Ensure all areas, including bedrooms, communal spaces, kitchens, and bathrooms, are cleaned to a high standard. Following a cleaning schedule but being adaptable to the needs of the service.
2. Sanitization: Regularly disinfect surfaces and equipment to maintain hygiene and prevent illness.
3. Laundry Duties: Wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and children's clothing as required.
4. Stock Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, ensuring safe storage and usage.
5. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow COSHH regulations for handling cleaning products and report any hazards or maintenance issues.
6. Safeguarding Awareness: Work in a way that respects the privacy and dignity of children, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
The role will be 16 hours per week between the days of Monday – Friday. Times to be negotiated.
