An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established RCVS accredited practice in the beautiful market town of Chippenham, just on the edge of the Cotswolds and close to the historic city of Bath. With over 60 years serving the community, this practice combines trusted local reputation with modern, forward thinking veterinary care.
The practice boasts excellent facilities, including an in-house laboratory, blood machines, a digital x-ray suite, dental x-ray, and an ultrasound scanner – giving you everything you need to manage cases to a high standard on site. You’ll join a large, sociable team of 8 Vets, 9 RVNs, 2 SVNs, plus experienced receptionists and a strong support team, making collaboration and case discussions part of everyday life.
This role offers a great mix of consulting and operating, giving you the chance to develop a varied caseload and maintain continuity of care for your patients. The practice prides itself on promoting a positive working culture and work-life balance, with built in admin time during the day, a guaranteed lunch break, and consults finishing 30 minutes before the end of your shift – so you really do leave on time.
They hold monthly team meetings and clinical clubs, and actively encourage new ideas and development, making it an inspiring place for a Vet who wants to continue learning and grow their skills. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues with interests in imaging, internal medicine, emergency care, and dentistry, and given the opportunity to get involved in more complex surgeries as you progress.
