Job Description – Science Technician As a Science Technician, you'll be the backbone of the lab, supporting teachers and students in bringing experiments to life. Your days will involve: Setting up and clearing away equipment for practical science lessons Preparing chemical solutions and ensuring all materials are safely stored Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and safety protocols Assisting students and staff during experiments (and occasionally rescuing a rogue test tube!) Managing stock levels and keeping the science cupboard in order You’ll be a key part of the school’s science department, helping to ignite curiosity and spark a love for learning. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a school lab or similar technical/scientific role is highly desirable A passion for science and a great sense of organisation (and humour!) The ability to follow health & safety protocols (no mad science allowed, sorry!) Strong communication skills – you’ll be working with staff and students daily A proactive and flexible attitude – no two school days are the same! Requirements Enhanced DBS – if you don’t already have one, don’t panic!
