Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technician/Facilitator in Electrical to join our Building Services team. In this hands‑on and highly valued position, you will play a vital role in supporting both staff and students across our electrical installation workshops. You will help create an organised, safe, and engaging learning environment by preparing workshop areas, maintaining tools and equipment, assisting with demonstrations, and providing technical support throughout practical sessions. Your work will directly enhance the learning experience for our students and contribute to the success of our curriculum delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical problem‑solving, working in an educational environment, and supporting the next generation of industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining an organised, clean, and safe workshop environment
* Preparing workspaces, materials, tools, and equipment for lessons
* Supporting Lecturers during demonstrations and practical tasks
* Assisting students with hands‑on learning activities
* Managing stock levels, storage, and maintenance of tools and materials
* Completing administrative tasks such as stock records and equipment checks
* Participating in open events, taster days and promotional activities
* Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Criteria
* A minimum of a relevant Level 2 vocational qualification in an electrical discipline.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in workshop and practical learning environments.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
* Ability to work independently, use initiative, and manage workload effectively.
* Experience working with electrical tools, equipment, or workshop practices in an educational or training environment is desirable.
