About the Role
We have a new opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Carpentry Lecturer to deliver both practical and theory‑based carpentry training. You will be teaching Level 1 and Level 2 full‑time learners, along with Level 2/3 apprentices, ensuring high‑quality delivery in workshop and classroom settings. This is a fixed‑term contract to provide cover for the college’s carpentry department.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver practical and theoretical carpentry sessions to full‑time students and apprentices.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet further‑education standards.
Assess and monitor learner progress, providing feedback and support.
Maintain workshop safety, ensure equipment readiness, and uphold teaching quality.
Work collaboratively with the existing teaching team to support a high‑standard curriculum. Candidate Requirements
Relevant industrial experience in carpentry (workshop & on‑site).
Prior teaching or training experience (ideally in a further‑education or vocational environment).
Must hold a valid and enhanced DBS check.
Demonstrable ability to deliver safe, structured, practical carpentry sessions. What We Offer
