Employment Senior Solicitor (4 years'+)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a leading team based in Edinburgh. You’ll work with a diverse client base on a wide range of employment law matters.
The role focuses primarily on employer-side work, advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters. You’ll manage your own caseload while supporting colleagues on more complex cases.
What you’ll be doing:
* Advising on day-to-day employment issues, including disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and TUPE matters
* Handling the employment aspects of corporate and outsourcing transactions
* Representing clients in employment tribunals, including discrimination, whistleblowing and dismissal claims
* Supporting clients with settlement agreements, sickness absence issues and ACAS early conciliation
* Advising on trade union and collective consultation matters
* Contributing to business development and building long-term client relationships
The team is known for its practical, accessible advice and tailored service, offering a collaborative, down-to-earth culture with plenty of scope for progression.
About you:
* 4+ years’ PQE in employment law
* Strong track record advising and representing clients in employment tribunals
* Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Commercial awareness and ability to deliver pragmatic, client-focused advice
