Contract Manager / Project Manager
Location: Office and Site Based
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Role Summary:
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Contract Manager / Project Manager to lead our Site Management Team in delivering both planned and reactive works to the highest standards.
You will be ideally based within a daily working a radius of Leeds, however our works often span across the U.K which will involve occasional lodging away.
Working within the rail sector, our clients including Network Rail, tier 1 NWR suppliers and the train operating companies.
Works are predominantly buildings and civils based, however a good all-round knowledge of building and civils disciplines would be advantageous.
This role also includes, ensuring safety and compliance across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works
* Liaise with OTP Providers and client representatives to coordinate schedules
* Champion safety, quality, and environmental compliance
* Represent the company at planning and progress meetings
* Investigate incidents and implement loss prevention strategies
* Monitor staff performance and promote professional development
* Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and other legislation
* Support business continuity and technical standards across projects
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in rail construction at contract and technical management level
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Skilled in building maintenance management
* Ability to innovate across engineering disciplines
* Full UK Driver's Licence
* First Aid certification
* PTS holder preferable
* HNC in Building or equivalent NVQ preferred
Team & Reporting:
* Manage a team of 8–15 staff
* Report to Senior Project Manager / Managing Director
* Financial responsibility for a proportion of the contract management budget
