Plus Distant Island Allowance £1,408 per annum

This exciting opportunity has arisen within the Health Visiting and School Nursing Team in Uist and Barra. You will be responsible for the day to day management and co‑ordination of NHS Health Visiting team and School Nursing team in Uist and Barra. The post holder will provide leadership to the team with responsibility of service developments based on agreed policies and procedures ensuring a high quality service working within the NMC Code and clinical Goverance Frameworks. It also includes the carrying of a small caseload. Also responsibility for training of students and and liaising with Higher Education establishments.
This post is based in Uist.
Applications are invited from first level registered nurses with Health Visting/Public Health Degree Quailification. You must have several years post registration experience with diverse caseload and leadership/management experience.
A driving licence is essential for this post
The Western Isles offer a safe and pleasant environment to live in with easy access to cultural, sporting and leisure activities. There are daily travel connections to the mainland via air and ferry. Applicants must be car owners and in possession of a full UK driving licence.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme. This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
