The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for two Graduate Bid Writers to join a busy and growing team based at our HQ in Salford, Manchester. This is a fantastic entry-level role for recent graduates who are eager to develop a career in bid writing and business development. This is a varied and exciting role and will provide the successful candidate with an excellent scope for career development with defined pathways and support.
As a Graduate Bid Writer, you will begin your journey by supporting the team in delivering high-quality, professionally written proposals that showcase Morson's value proposition for both new and retained business. Through training, mentoring, and hands-on experience, you will develop the skills and confidence to progress into a fully-fledged Bid Writer, taking ownership of bids and managing the process end-to-end.
As you develop, you will also gain the skills to:
* Take ownership of sections of bids, and eventually smaller bids, building confidence in your writing and project management skills.
* Manage timelines and coordinate stakeholders, ensuring all contributions are received and reviewed on time.
* You will be able to effectively utilise the structured bid processes and techniques, to schedule, plan, track and review bid progress.
* Write compelling, client-focused content that highlights our strengths and win themes.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our bid library, templates, and processes.
* Liaise with the business to support pre-bid activity, developing an understanding of the client prior to tender release.
* Provide internal stakeholders with a thorough overview of the bid by undertaking an effective evaluation of the client's tender documents.
Person specification:
* A confident communicator with excellent written English.
* Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the business.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple deadlines.
* A creative and persuasive writing style, with strong attention to detail.
* Degree-educated (any discipline considered, though English, Business, Communications, History, Law, or related fields are advantageous).
