We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Radiographer with a strong interest in orthopaedic and theatre imaging. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent patient care skills, a high level of professionalism, and a commitment to developing expertise in MRI and CT through our structured training programme. They will be confident working across multiple sites, able to manage a varied workload, and willing to contribute to high clinical standards and departmental governance. The radiographer will primarily be responsible for covering Theatre II imaging sessions. In addition, the post-holder will provide X-ray services across all Fortius sites and support MRI and CT positioning. A structured MRI and CT training programme is in place for this role. Over an anticipated period of 18 months, the successful candidate will be fully trained in both modalities. They will develop specialist knowledge and expertise, producing high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate diagnosis and treatment while upholding excellent standards of patient care. Additional responsibilities include occasional supervision of agency and bank staff, overseeing workflow, supporting service delivery, and ensuring accurate data entry to maintain both patient record integrity and statistical reporting requirements. The successful candidate must demonstrate high professional and technical standards, the ability to adapt to different learning environments, and a commitment to continuous professional development. They will also participate in departmental governance activities, including risk management, health and safety, research, and audit. Essential HCPC registration as a Radiographer. Proven experience in X-ray imaging. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism. Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, for interactions with patients and colleagues. Ability to accurately position a wide range of patients and adapt techniques as necessary. Willingness to work across multiple sites. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all professional and ethical standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and completion of structured MRI and CT training. Awareness of infection control policies and health & safety requirements. Desirable theatre or orthopaedic imaging experience is highly desirable. experience in MRI and/or CT imaging or willingness to undergo training. Experience working with elite athletes, VIPs, or paediatric patients. Knowledge of PACS and med dBase systems. Experience supervising or supporting junior, agency, or bank staff. Understanding of departmental governance, audit, and quality assurance procedures. Participation in research, clinical trials, or CPD initiatives.
