Job Summary
We are seeking a caring, motivated, and proactive CACHE Level 3 Childcare Practitioner to join a private nursery in Newport, Gwent. This role is ideal for someone who is professional, diligent, and takes pride in delivering high-quality care and education to young children.
You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children’s development, learning, and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote children’s learning and development
* Supervise and actively engage with children during play, ensuring their safety and well-being
* Maintain a clean, organised, and inspiring nursery environment
* Assist the lead educator with daily routines, individual care needs, and inclusive practices
* Complete accurate record-keeping and contribute to progress reporting
* Work collaboratively as part of a professional early years team
Requirements
* CACHE Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential)
* Minimum of 6 months’ experience working within a nursery or early years setting (essential)
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* A genuine passion for early years education and child development
