It Takes a Village Hub (NZ) is looking for a volunteer Social Media Content Creator to help share our story and amplify the impact of our work supporting whnau across Canterbury.
About Us
It Takes a Village Hub (NZ) is a registered charity supporting families with essential baby and toddler items, community‑led initiatives, and practical wrap‑around support. We work with an average of 5,070 families each month and rely on strong community engagement to do what we do.
About the Role
As our Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for creating and scheduling engaging content across our social media platforms. This role plays a key part in raising awareness, supporting fundraising and donation drives, and celebrating our volunteers, partners, and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Create engaging social media content (posts, stories, simple graphics, short‑form video)
* Support campaigns such as donation drives, events, and seasonal initiatives
* Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style
* Schedule content and assist with basic content planning
* Work alongside the team to highlight impact, updates, and community stories
What We’re Looking For
* Confidence using platforms such as Facebook and Instagram (others a bonus)
* Basic graphic or content creation skills (e.g., Canva)
* Strong written communication skills
* Reliability and the ability to work independently
* A passion for community and supporting families
Time Commitment
Flexible and remote. Approx. 24 hours per week (can be adjusted).
