Are you a compassionate and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-respected SEN school in Altrincham, seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, autism, and associated communication challenges. The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on personalised learning and holistic development.
The Role:
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Promoting engagement, independence, and emotional wellbeing
Supporting with personal care where required
Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategiesThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly complex needs
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic school environment
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA) are desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer:
