Position Overview
Are you a Dietetic Graduate or Dietetic Assistant looking to give your career the best start? As a Dietetic Assistant at Middlewood Clinic, you will work 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, supporting a specialist eating disorders team in Midhurst, West Sussex. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian and will be responsible for supporting therapeutic interventions, collecting and monitoring baseline nutritional data, reviewing the young persons’ nutritional needs, preparing and updating information and resources, reviewing compliance, and providing reports on their progression.
Responsibilities
* Assist and participate in the planning and facilitation of a range of training sessions and group work
* Collect data for audit or research purposes and record information accurately
* Promote healthy eating to young people within a nutrition education framework
* Ensure appropriate documentation is in place for a safe discharge, including appropriate follow‑up
Qualifications
* Experience of working within a CAMHS and/or eating disorder service
* NCFE CACHE level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services or NCFE CACHE level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support
* Associate member of the British Dietetic Association
* Demonstrate basic understanding of nutrition and dietetics as it relates to eating disorders
* Understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with mental health problems or other disabilities
* Theoretical knowledge of Eating Disorders
Location and Team
Location: Little Ashfield, Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 9JP. The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) comprises the Registered Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist, Nurses, Healthcare Workers, Psychologist, Dietician, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker.
