Personal Trainer – Gym Inductions and Ad‑Hoc Class Cover (self‑employed opportunity)
Location: Aborfield / Reading
Salary: £21 per group induction delivered (30 mins), £30 per 1‑1 induction delivered (45 mins) and £35 per personal training session (60 mins) delivered.
Important Note: This is a freelance based opportunity for an average recurring 1‑2 monthly group bookings. Successful candidates will need to be registered as self‑employed.
We are currently looking for a reliable, driven, highly motivated personal trainer to deliver group and 1‑1 inductions for a residential gym located in RG2 9ZF, with weekday evening/weekend availability. The role also requires cover of classes and inductions at another Reading-based site in RG1 8DQ, usually on Monday evenings between 6 pm‑8 pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive group gym facility inductions covering gym, studio and leisure areas.
* Provide specialized 1‑1 gym induction sessions that include a PT consultation and taster session.
* Lead group exercise classes themed on specific fitness targets, suitable for participants of mixed abilities.
* Conduct planned, client‑specific personal training sessions.
* Manage administrative duties, such as marking attendance for any appointments on our platform.
* Deliver in‑depth group inductions with demonstrations of cardiovascular equipment, resistance equipment and accessory equipment (including free weights).
* Ensure thorough coverage of health and safety protocols and leisure facility rules during each induction.
* Verify that resident documents – health statements and disclaimer forms – are completed.
* Update attendance records for all appointments in a timely manner.
* Liaise with the Motive8 head‑office management team to ensure consistent, professional delivery.
* Provide advice and guidance to help residents succeed with their fitness journey.
Requirements
* Valid self‑employed insurance (or willingness to obtain).
* Valid Level 3 Personal Training Certification.
* Experience in delivering fitness training sessions.
* Excellent communication skills and a confident, articulate approach to work.
* High level of customer service and attention to detail.
