Job Purpose:
Ensure the smooth running of NPD areas. Make / document and send product samples in accordance with NPD procedures. Support Snr NPD Tech / NPD manager in preparing and presenting samples to internal and external customer.
Principal Accountabilities:
• To make kitchen samples in accordance with the NPD procedure.
• Ensure kitchen products are made / assessed in accordance with customer codes of practice.
• To ensure all samples from kitchen and relevant trials are sent for internal and external signoff in an organised and timely manner.
• Maintain paperwork / IT system to provide documented trail of NPD work undertaken.
• Support meetings regarding NPD projects / feasibility and challenges with relevant site / business functions.
• Liaise with Buying to arrange and deliver raw materials and ingredients requirements to site.
• Assist in other NPD activities where required, such as presentation to customers alongside NPD manager.
Role Requirements
Qualifications, Background and Experience:
• Degree in Food Science or related discipline or equivalent relevant experience and experience of managing food development projects.
• Experience of ambient stable product development from concept to manufacture.
• Good understanding of the thermal processing of long shelf life grocery products.
• Good interpersonal skills and skilled in making presentations.
• Computer literate with competency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
