Our client, a leading organisation in the civil engineering sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) for a contract position on a major highway project within the HTP industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management: Involvement in cost estimation, budgeting, and monitoring expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
Contract Administration: Managing contracts with various stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
Financial Reporting: Regularly creating and presenting financial reports to keep all stakeholders informed of the budget status.
Procurement: Managing the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing whilst maintaining quality standards.
Mentoring: Potentially providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff, aiding in their professional development.
Risk Management: Identifying and managing any potential commercial risks associated with the project.
Stakeholder Management: Liaising with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Compliance: Ensuring all activities comply with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
Job Requirements:
Extensive experience in managing major construction projects, specifically within the highway sector.
